Siebensternpark in Vienna’s 7th district (Neubau) is a small green oasis in one of the hippest neighborhoods in town. The park is compact, well kept, and offers a nice playground that’s especially popular with younger children. It’s best suited to kids aged 1 to 8, with swings, a slide, a sandbox, and climbing equipment. The paths are flat and easy to navigate with a stroller. Because the park is fenced in, parents feel especially safe letting their kids run around freely. The playground has a soft fall-protection surface that adds safety. There are benches, trees, and lawns all around, providing nice shade in summer. Use of the park and playground is free. Since the park sits right in Neubau, there are plenty of cafés, bakeries, and boutiques nearby where parents can grab a break. Siebensternpark is well connected by metro (U3 Neubaugasse) and by tram. Thanks to its size, the park is ideal for a short, easy playground stop after shopping or walking on the Mariahilfer Straße. All in all, a lovely, charming playground in the middle of a lively Viennese district.
