Kurpark Oberlaa in Vienna’s 10th district covers more than 800,000 square meters and is one of the biggest and most beautiful parks in the city. It offers wide meadows, themed gardens, a small animal enclosure, and several large playgrounds for different age groups. The park is great for children of every age — from babies to toddlers to teens — and has something to offer each group. There are classic playgrounds with swings, slides, and sandboxes, plus themed play areas with water features and climbing structures. Most paths are paved or well surfaced and stroller-friendly, though some hills can be a bit of a workout. In the park you’ll find lots of benches, picnic areas, toilets, and small kiosks for snacks and drinks. Entry to the park is free. Right next door is Therme Wien (the city’s thermal spa), which charges admission but is worth a family visit on hot or chilly days. The park is easy to reach via the U1 metro (terminus Oberlaa). In summer there are often events, concerts, and family festivals in the park. Kurpark Oberlaa is a perfect destination for a full day out with kids, with plenty of fresh air, nature, and variety.
